Primavera Sound

NOS Primavera Sound Virtudes

For the third year running, takes the spirit of the festival to the city. On Wednesday the 8th of June, Porto welcomes the festival’s audience.

Admission is free and the event will start at 5pm. Virtudes will welcome Holy Nothing, X-Wife, Batida DJ Set and Mister Teaser.

Over the last decade, Luís Liberal has earned his place in the indie dance landscape. Mister Teaser has been a fixture in clubs and national and international events, and brings the promise of the best music selection and the experience of a ten year career.

With a career spanning thirteen years, and after almost three years of hiatus, X-Wife are back, and leave nothing to chance. Making the most of their side projects, the band comes with a richer, more organic sound, complemented with new members and guest musicians.

From the electronic universe, come Holy Nothing, a project which has since 2013 mixed projections with synths, supporting the word with impactful images and fusing music and film in a rather complex expressionist reality. The live performance is the result of an intense year of writing and experimentation, to be witnessed in Primavera at Virtudes.

Pedro Coquenão is better known for his work as Batida, with two records which have been well received by the critics and celebrated in stages all over the world. His DJ sets are rare and it was with one of them that he became the first Portuguese and Angolan national to be the star of a Boiler Room session, to which he has added four more. With collaborations spread over four labels and a high profile presence in several publications, he has been named as a relevant element of the new generation of electronic music producers.

From 5pm and until midnight, it is possible to make, at Virtudes, the advanced exchange of the NOS Primavera Sound 2016 general pass for the corresponding wristband and festival site access card.
